Prior to UTA
A four-year starter and letterwinner at Woodrow High School for Coach Jim Harris... as a senior, was voted Second Team All-Area by the Dallas Morning News and named 13-4A Most Valuable Player, leading the district with 223 blocks... in 2006 led Skyline Club with 170 blocks... tabbed First Team All-District as a junior... was a Second Team All-District pick after sophomore season... selected 2004 10-4A Newcomer of the Year... led high school to four straight district titles... 2004 club team won Texas Championship Series and Open Regional title... played with the North Dallas Juniors team in the summer of 2008 and competed in the national tournament... club team placed 13th at Junior Olympics (Houston)... also a member of the National Honor Society.

Daughter of George and Ginny Shearin... father, George, played basketball at Samford University, cousin, Mary Elizabeth Trull, played volleyball at Clemson University, uncle, Joe Shearin, played college football at Texas and professionally with the Los Angeles Rams, grandfather, George Shearin, played baseball and basketball at Baylor, and great grandfather W.H. (Buddy) Lewis, played for the St. Louis Cardinals... born Sept. 14, 1989... undecided on a major at UTA.
