The UT Arlington women's basketball team fell 77-67 to the third-seeded UTSA Roadrunners in the semifinals of the Southland Confernence Tournament at the Merrell Center on Friday.

MAVERICKS ADVANCE IN SLC TOURNAMENT WITH 82-68 WIN OVER MCNEESE STATE

The UT Arlington women's basketball team won 82-68 over McNeese State in the opening game of the Southland Conference Championship at the Merrell Center on Wednesday. The Mavs (19-9, 13-3) advance to the semifinals where they will meet the winner of the UTSA-Northwestern State game.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL OPENS UP SOUTHLAND TOURNAMANET WITH MCNEESE STATE ON WEDNESDAY

The UT Arlington women's basketball team is headed to the Southland Conference Tournament for the seventh consecutive year, and the 19th time in school history. The Mavs will face McNeese State in the opening game of the tournament Wednesday, March 12 at 12 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Southland TV.

The 2007-08 All-Southland Conference women's basketball teams were announced today by the conference office as Texas State senior forward Joyce Ekworomadu took home Player of the Year honors.
UT Arlington's seniors Maryann Abanobi and Tiffeny Riles where both named to the All-SLC Second Team.
