2007-08 [Freshman Season]
The UTA freshman put together a stellar rookie campaign with the Lady Mavericks as she ranked first on the squad in steals (31), assists (21), and free throws made (66), second in free throw attempts (86), third in total points (264), points per game (9.1), field goals attempts (233), three-point field goal attempts (69), three-point field goals made (18) and fourth in free throw percentage (.767)... recorded her first career double-double (points-rebounds) on the road against Texas State (Mar. 8) with a 19-point, 10 rebound performance... notched 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 1-of-2 from three-point range and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe, to go along with six rebounds and four steals versus Sam Houston State (Feb. 28)... collected 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in 38 minutes of action in the first round of the Southland Conference Tournament against University of Texas at San Antonio (Mar. 14)... recorded 15 points and grabbed four rebounds versus McNeese State (Mar. 12)... scored 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe, to go along with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in 40 minutes of action versus Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 2)... notched 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc to go along with four rebounds, a career-high seven assists and one steal at Texas Hall versus Stephen F. Austin (Mar. 1)... posted 21 games of five or more rebounds this past season... selected as the Southland Conference player of the week on one occasion... finished with 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Big XII opponent Texas A&M (Dec. 28)... scored 12 points on 8-of-9 from the charity stripe and added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals on the road versus Southeastern Louisiana (Jan. 19)... nearly missed out on her second double-double of the season against Central Arkansas (Jan. 10) at Texas Hall where she collected 10 rebounds and nine points... appeared in all 29 games for the Lady Mavericks while making 29 starts in the starting rotation... finished her first season averaging 9.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Mansfield Summit High School
A two-sport athlete, Martin lettered in basketball and track... is the second all-time leading scorer with 948 points, first all-time with 245 free throws, and the leading career rebounder with 577 boards at MSHS... as a senior helped lead the Jaguars to the state semifinals... earning TABC and TGCA all-state and all-star honors... was a 2007 McDonald's All-American nominee... named team and District 4-5A defensive MVP... earned first team all-district honors as a junior and senior.
