ARLINGTON, Texas - - UTA fans who aren't able to make the trip to Little Rock, Ark. for Friday night's NCAA Tournament game against Memphis are invited to a Game Watching Party at Fox and Hound in Arlington.

The Mavericks are making their first-ever trip to the Big Dance and will take on the second-ranked Memphis Tigers at 9 p.m. Friday in a South Region first-round game. UTA (21-11) and Memphis (33-1) tip off at 9 p.m. and will entertain a national television audience on CBS.

The Game Watching Party is being organized by the UTA Alumni Association and begins at 8:30 p.m.

Fox and Hound is located at 1001 NE Green Oaks Blvd.

The Mavericks left Arlington this morning at 10 a.m. and enjoyed a Send-Off Celebration in front of Maverick Stadium. Approximately 200 fans showed up to cheer on players and head coach Scott Cross as they loaded the bus. UTA will hold its first shoot-around at the AllTel Center in North Little Rock, Ark., on Thursday.

"This is a great opportunity and a big step for our program," Cross said. "I wish all of our fans could make it to Arkansas, but I know we'll have plenty of people back home watching us on television. Hopefully, we'll give them something to cheer about."
